Food

Students can usually enjoy a comfortable life with around €100 per month. Each student can determine food expenses individually, depending on their needs.

Armenian universities have canteens where you can taste a variety of delicious dishes. For having proper meal students need on average AMD 500-900 (€ 1-1.7) per day and approximately AMD 16․000 (€ 31) per month.

If you are planning to eat out, there are a lot of various restaurants, bistros, bars, and cafes representing the national cuisines of nearly all countries in the world. The average bill amount depends on the rank of the restaurant. Dinner on average will cost AMD 4800-5800 (€ 9-11) per person in restaurants of Yerevan. In other regions of Armenia dinner is a bit less expensive.

Transport

There are various types of public transport in Armenia, which ensure fast transportation from one place to another.

The cost of public transport is AMD 100 (€ 0.19). There are also several taxi services in Armenia that are quite affordable and accessible to the public. On average, to cover transportation expenses in Armenia students need around AMD 10.000 (€ 19.4) per month, or AMD 100.000 (194 €) per academic year.
